Vocal course

Hindustani Vocal Classes in Udupi

Learn North Indian classical singing, from sargam and alankars to ragas and bandishes, in small Junior and Senior batches.

What you’ll learn

From sargam to your first bandish

Lessons begin with voice culture: holding the sa against the tanpura, steady breath and clean sargam. Alankars train the voice, and then each raga is learnt through its movement and short compositions set to common taals.

Syllabus

Two levels, one clear path

Both levels follow the Junior and Senior music exam syllabus of Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru, so you can sit the exams when you’re ready.
